IC Care Celebrates 10 Years in Business

On Monday, January 10, 2022, IC Care will be hosting a celebration, recognizing our hard work and compassionate care over the last decade.

IC Care provides non-medical home care services to help area senior citizens maintain their independence and dignity at home. IC Care is unique when it comes to providing home care in this market, offering special programs for veterans and/or their spouses, completive hourly rates, employing the most skilled and experience staff, and the list goes on.

“For any small business to make it through the first few years is a major accomplishment. To last 10 years is a tremendous feat in our eyes,” said Tate Blanchard, director of marketing and community outreach with IC Care. “We take great pride, not only in providing our clients with exceptional service, but also being a good neighbor and partner in the communities we serve”, Blanchard added.

IC Care came to be in December of 2011, when Phil Sauvageot, Owner and CFO, recognized a need to care for Ohio Valley seniors based on personal experience with helping his own elderly grandmother. Phil’s wife, Stephanie, had worked in the medical field for decades in the Pittsburgh market and then in the Ohio Valley. Stephanie is a Master’s-educated registered nurse, and she formally joined the company in July of 2012. Phil and Stephanie Sauvageot lead the IC Care company as a ministry of service in action for those in need of caring hands and loving hearts.

“The care and the love and the service they extended to both he (my dad) and my mom, you know observation is a very powerful thing and so when you’re able to witness, as I assume my dad did, the love and care they had for his wife of 67-years, my mom, then he was at ease and thus I was at ease, said Mark Chambers, the son of former IC Care clients and retired Senior VP of Sales with AB Electrolux. “I am an advocate of the business; I am an advocate of Stephanie. She certainly displayed interest and care beyond what I had imagined. Having run businesses for a number of years I was very familiar with business, maybe not really that business, but I couldn’t have been more impressed,” Chambers added.
