Yet another tourist is learning the hard way that bears are wild animals.
A Scottish tourist and her friend were visiting Romania and decided to go for a drive through the Carpathian Mountains.
Moira Gallacher says “What happened was the bear came up to the window at my friend’s side, and no problem. It let us take a picture and went away. But I didn’t get a proper picture, so we went back and it was at my side.”
It was a mama and her cub. And you know what that means… the mama bear attacked the woman and she ended up in the ER.
Gallacher’s friend says “I thought he wanted to be friends. The bear came and wanted to get into the car, but he started getting into the car and bit my friend.”
Wildlife experts have stressed for years that you do not try and interact with wildlife, especially if they have babies nearby.
